As representing the Stevens Trail. This historic trail of Placer County has been approved by the State Historical Resources Commission for inclusion in the national Register of Historic Places. The nomination was submitted and approved on February 1, 2002 at Davis, CA. A number will be assigned and a plaque marking the Trail Head upon final approval will be placed.

Is now official as representing the Colfax Cape Horn Promontory overlook site. Also, Caltrans has installed two historical Landmark signs on SR-174, to direct motorists to the monument. Thanks to Gertrude Paul of The Colfax Area Historical Society and Eric Claydon of the Caltrans Traffic Operations office. |
Is now official as representing the Colfax Freight Depot, AKA RR Junction Building, on Main Street. And, this qualifys it for incentives for preservation and restoration. |
