Archive Room

    To get to our Archive Room: Open each Wednesday from 9-12. Take Colfax off-ramp from I-80 (approximately 50 miles East of Sacramento, California). Follow the signs into town. Cross the railroad tracks and turn right on North Main Street. Go two blocks to School Street on your left, to 55 School Street, where Sierra Vista Community Center houses the Colfax Area Historical Society archives. And/Or Turn off Highway 14 from Grass Valley onto North Main Street, two blocks to School Street on your right.


Colfax Area Heritage Museum

    To get to our Colfax Area Heritage Museum: Take Colfax off-ramp from I-80 (approximately 50 miles East of Sacramento, California). Follow the signs into town. Go to the crossing of the railroad on Grass Valley Street at the center of downtown Historic Colfax (Main Street and Grass Valley Streets). The Museum is located in the refurbished Colfax Train Depot at 99 Railroad Avenue, where the statue of Schuyler Colfax is standing South Side of Grass Valley Street at the railroad crossing.
